This year I find myself getting more in the Chinese New Year mood since Chinese New Year atmosphere is so much more apparent.

here is night market...
Chinese New Year decorations were everywhere and all the CNY cookies and other munchies were being sold everywhere

here is outside of my house,
Chinese new year decoration.

My mum buy nian gao from one auntie...
she makes the nian gao herself and they’re made and wrapped the old fashion way,
She guarantee that her nian gao not sweet than others.

Nian gao can be eaten many different ways.

haha an I like to pan fry mine with eggs and sometimes with yam or taro.
Whichever way it is, it is one of my favorite New Year food.

Since I'm at home all day today,
I fry it up for my family teatime this afternoon using egg, powder, and yam

Delicious especially with a cuppa of tea or coffee!
I wonder if I can find more nian gao in the freezer!!
But ...No more ....
have to wait another year...
huu huuu....
